flexagonA day has passed since my last post. How glad I am to be able to update you!
Think how sucky it would have been if that large search company hadn't been able to make up their minds about me last week. Think how it would have been if they had said "oh, hmm, we liked you but you weren't asked enough coding questions, so we want you to come back in." Think how completely lousy I would have felt being on the knife-edge like that, and how utterly spooked at the thought of two more sessions of whiteboard coding possibly determining my fate. The whole thing would have been almost... almost... evil. And we know they're all "DON'T be evil".
So, that last week couldn't have happened. I've been fine. Not suffering. No wild mood swings. Nope. It's been one day. And today they called me and said the hiring committee wants to move forward with an offer! YES!
It is not final, but the odds of an offer are very high now.
