Too much travel

Halfway through my second week in California, I'm starting to feel like maybe I live here now (except with an annoyingly sparse life). I've found the good bookstore, the good coffee, the gym, a yoga studio I like well enough; it's getting hard to believe I won't be here next week to go to that class at the gym I missed last Monday. Part of me thinks I should find a nice dentist, buy a coat, get a cat, make a couple more friends, and generally go about the business of setting up a life. Sigh... I'm just not wired to be away from home longer than a week or so. My notion of "home" is too plastic.
