I love coming back to Boston... it makes every cell in my body fizz with happiness and relief. When I walked in the door of my condo, Rafe ran out onto the stairs, and then the other cats ran out onto the stairs, and so [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug and I went out with them and snuggled on the stairs while all three of them ran madly up and down. I may write more about the trip later, but all of it feels unimportant next to being home again.

Here's what I did on my cross-country plane flights:

I said I would only post finished objects here, but the back of a sweater is kind of a finished object, right?

FO or no FO, i am totally impressed that you did that on a plane! i go into some kind of knitting stupidity fugue state on planes and become constitutionally unable to count cable crosses, as evidenced by my latest tiny little project (srsly, a fingerless glove) until i fixed it at my hotel.

haha, no, something even simpler: dashing! and yet i messed one up on my way to atlanta and had to rip all the progress i'd made on the plane. they're done now, though, warm and fuzzy and mistake-free, and i also worked on some no-brainer socks that i managed not to fuck up.

I don't think that sounds boring at all, that sounds like a perfectly lovely homecoming. :) Yay for being settled!

I love your sweater! It's going to look great when finished. It's been years since I've done any knitting, but you may just have inspired me to take it up again.
How'd you manage to keep your needles on the planes? I know so many people who have had knitting needles and crochet hooks taken off them.
I recently saw a lady knitting in an open motorbike side-car as she was travelling down the freeway!

Ooooo! That's so pretty! I love cables. And blue! What's the gauge? It looks so tiny. *sigh* You're inspiring me to get off my butt and knit the sweater I've said I was always going to knit. :)
