Mixed impressions of a weekend

Yesterday's 3-hour Baron Baptiste + acroyoga event was not as much of a sweatbath as it could have been, since they didn't heat the studio as much as they usually do, but by the end I could still smell a lot of mold. That whole studio is unavoidably disgusting... and a lot of regulars were there with their nasty, nasty mats. *shudder* With apologies to those who like hot yoga, I have to admit I wanted to sterilize myself and my mat afterward, WITH FIRE.

I did see a mat I really liked, which had a tough-looking top layer. And for dinner I had steel-cut oats with a lot of sweet dark cherries and chopped walnuts mixed in, and I think it's one of my new favorite things.

I'm having a few dark thoughts, and yet if I turn my head to the left, what I do I see? heisenbug on the couch reading Lolita, wearing the sweatshirt I gave him, with a cat beside his knee and another cat at his feet. So cute. Also, I noticed it's Valentine's Day... I wonder if I could get some of those heart-shaped sunglasses before dinnertime, and how badly that would creep him out if I managed it. :)

cris and I did an intro to partner acro-yoga class today (first time acro for me, first time yoga for him) and we had a blast. I got up on his shoulders, though I swear we skipped a few steps. :)

Very cool! Where did you go for that? I'm curious if it might be a venue I haven't heard of yet.

We went to South Boston Yoga and took a class with Ellen and Roger. We also went out for cocktails after dinner last night and I was typing tipsy so I apologise for leaving out details. :)
