I overstretched my right hamstring this morning while straddling (grrr!), and realized it's time to start taking it easy: there's just a week until Divine Play, which I really don't want to be injured for. Usually an overstretch will calm down well enough before that, especially if I'm good about ultrasounding and foam-rolling it. So... here comes a relatively easy week for me. I'm grateful that my hurt wrist mended in time for this.

Forgot to mention that, as of Tuesday, [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug and I finally have legal wills -- and HIPAA releases, health care proxies, and durable powers of attorney for each other. We feel so adult now.

Lastly, I like how I've been feeling lately: unafraid, about a lot of things. I could get used to this.

That's a truly awesome thing. Can you teach it?

Also, I'm afraid I'm doing an ears perk about a random subject. Where'd you get your foam roll? My PT wants me to start using one.

Ah...I need to do these adult things. Learned something about living wills though recently. Even if you write one, if your family members show up at the hospital and say they want you kept alive, the hospital will most likely do it for fear of lawsuit EVEN if you have a living will.

Was listening to a head Doctor talk about this while discussing contract law. Shitty thing is families seem to win even though their beloved who wrote the will dictated what they wanted.

Yea, my family is all on-board with my wishes, and my mom (who's had some legal training) is all "you need to have a living will!" and i'm all "why bother, they're just going to ignore it and do what you all say anyway. a living will can't sue them. you can."

I really like this statement. I'm clapping for you. :)
