A thought on adaptability

flexagonThere are at least two ways to be adaptable, two ways to say "whatever you want." One of these means "I'm a doormat". The other means "I'm confident that I have lots of good ways to approach this, and I want to make it happen, so I'll work with that."
People to whom I say "whatever you want" had damn well better be able to tell the difference and know they're getting the latter, and not think "doormat" when they see me.
