Interrupted sleep
Oct. 9th, 2003 09:17 amI took the day off work yesterday since my project leader refuses to return from Paris and I'd run out of useful things to do. That was nice... I did a couple of good things, including sending off my wedding dress finally (which made me feel very light and floaty and ready to look forward again--I think it was something I really needed to do). And I had a good tae kwon do class in which some of my nasty horrible stiffness had gone away.
Last night was just nasty though. Remember how the girl who lives on the floor above me has the same name as me? Well, I woke in the night to hear someone yelling Who the fuck do you think you are, R----? Answer me! Who the fuck do you think you are? Goddamn that girl has one psychopathic-sounding boyfriend. They went on to have about the nastiest screaming fight I've ever heard, complete with some really loud thumps that I'm 98% sure were furniture and things being thrown since the girl was still holding her own. After a while it moved into him saying he was not her fucking boyfriend anymore, and it was over, and she should leave him alone and never come back, and she wouldn't go. Ugh, she should have left. But she was doing the "I know you love me" thing, and then he started to sob and kept repeating "leave me alone, I hate you" for a long, long time. I think they were still doing that when I finally fell back asleep. So sad and scary. They've had some fights that scared me before, but this one... why would anyone keep yelling like that? Why would anyone not leave after taking all that verbal abuse? Ugh. It just left me feeling... vile. I can only hope they really are broken up now.
