I'm pretty overwhelmed/overstimulated, right now. Did a lot of catching up on things over the weekend and that helped, but... well, as some indicators, I've been daydreaming about not having cats (I love the cats!), and talking to [personal profile] norwoodbridge about having the option to skip a weekend date if I'm ever so overwhelmed with work that it seems more stressful than nice. I also stopped being able to look at all my novelty socks sitting in the drawer (too many colors), and have ousted them to another place. Like, seriously, I can't even handle seeing socks right now?

So many hours have gone to just holding things together. Throw the phone on the floor, then spend unexpected time and cash getting it fixed. Return the leggings we didn't use for our acro performance. Write back to the nice people who wrote personal email and are waiting for a response. Oh yeah, and deal with unexpectedly getting your period, dumb butt who can't remember to check the calendar. Forever be behind on work email, and chip away at it in the evenings but do not succeed in handling the load. Try to deal with 20th anniversary, don't really have time, fail. Realize you drank too much this week, in little bits here and there.

New work fell onto one of my sub-groups this week, which means a wider scope for me too, and probably soon my group will be more 30-ish than 25-ish thanks to this, and I don't know the new area at all.

SIGH.

Anyway. At least athletic stuff is fine. I watched a video of someone speedrunning Super Mario Bros 3 and I'm incredibly impressed (right now I keep playing level 3-2 and I keep dying). But I'd rather put time into handstands and splits, it seems.
