I didn't feel like going to TKD last night, but I was glad I did after the way I was smackin' the pad on those stepping wheel kicks (the worst and hardest kick in the world). I felt very good about that indeed! Except the part where I distinctly felt my left hamstring start to depart the land of the functional... ow... I ran home and took glutamine and iced it and I think it's okay today. Sore but not injured. I'm going to ride the stationary bike instead of doing TKD tonight anyway, though, to give it some time off.
As for the condo deal, I only wish a good kick would suffice. Apparently, despite getting our approval letters last Friday, the deal is still technically waiting on the appraiser getting a part of his work done--the reasons he's having trouble with this are unclear to me. Yesterday my lawyer still thought the seller had the right to back out, and I was freaking out and thinking maybe they would, which would be horrible because none of this is our fault... I finally left some phone messages asking (follow along carefully now) the realtor to ask the seller to call the bank's attorney and/or the appraiser, if indeed the seller had the necessary documentation. I figured that might get me in trouble (telling the Other Side there was still a problem), but just now the realtor did call me back. She was cheerful and said the seller isn't angry with us, though he does think the appraiser is a nincompoop, and that the deal is not in danger of falling through as of right now. And the hope level goes up down up down... but one thing's for sure. The appraiser really is a nincompoop and I wish nothing in my life was dependent upon him.
Temperature this morning: 15 degrees, feels like 1 degree.
Closing: 9 days, feels like forever.
Sigh. :/
HLM cooked dinner for the second day in a row last night... he's really been a huge help lately. Maybe it's just because he knows how much work I'm doing on the condo stuff, but I don't care, I appreciate it.
