A strange and freaky bit of news...
Apr. 28th, 2003 02:58 pmSo... I heard back (by email) from the family of that long-lost friend (see last Weds, April 23rd). My heart really went pitta-pat when I got the letter! Apparently the friend is still alive and in Cambridge, but in a very weird state.

Ssssssss.... this is weird and maybe not good at all. I will try to see him, of course, dropping him a note first to tell him when I'm thinking of coming by. Odds of success? No idea at this point. But I can't even imagine not trying. I used to be one of the people he'd let in even when most people were shut out.
