According to the most recent numbers I've heard, by the way, household income had to be over $500K in 2010 for that household to be in the top 1% of income. A household had to have somewhere between $2 million and $3 million to be in the top 1% for net worth. Oddly, I'm still not clear on what the original 99% group is focused on, but anyway, I feel I've heard a lot of my peers say they identify with the "nice" 1% folks on westandwiththe99percent.tumblr.com when they're not in that top category.
